1. CLUB VISION
To ensure all Rolling Hills residents enjoy the community, friendship and fun that comes from playing tennis and pickleball.To organize tennis, pickleball and social events that support the above and increase the diversity, inclusion and number of active members.
The following Court Regulations and Responsibilities have been developed to align with theabove Vision Statement and the Community Association (RHCA) Gate Policy.
2. MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
All Rolling Hills residents are considered members. Members can access Club information on the Rolling Hills Tennis and Social Club website at rollinghillstennisclub.org. The website will include Club news, upcoming event information, a Resource List of Tennis Pro’s who have registered with the RHCA and are available for hire, and other club information such as the Board of Directors and Tennis Court Regulations. The website will also include a link for our tennis members to access the online reservation system and connect with other club members.
3. USE
Court hours are: Court 1 - 7:30 A.M. to 10:00 P.M., Courts 2 & 3 - 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. With the exception of the 7:30 A.M. – 8:30 A.M. time slot on Court 1 which is available for use on a Walk-On basis, any court may be reserved for preset 1 1/2 hour time slots as follows excluding Tennis Club
designated hours: 7:00 A.M., 8:30 A.M., 10:00 A.M., 11:30 A.M., 1:00 P.M. 2:30 P.M., 4:00 P.M., 5:30 P. M, 7:00 P.M., 8:30 P.M.
The Tennis Club hosts weekly Round Robins on Saturdays from 8:30 A.M. to 11.30 A.M. on all Courts and on Thursdays from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Courts 2 & 3. During such times, the aforementioned courts will be blocked out for Tennis Club use. The Tennis Club may also take precedence and reserve courts when hosting club organized special events such as Tournaments and Teaching Clincs.
Courts are cleaned on a day and time as determined by the RHCA. Currently, courts are scheduled to be cleaned Thursday afternoons, 1-3 P.M.
The tennis courts are intended for people who either live in Rolling Hills or own property here. Residents may invite guests for play and workouts subject to the Conduct and Guest rules in Sections 4, 6, and 7.
4. GENERAL COURT RULES AND CONDUCT
All players including residents and guests must sign in at the guard gate before entering the court.
No children under the age of 12 may use the courts unless accompanied by an adult resident or registered coach.
No food, animals, or smoking is allowed on the courts.
Proper tennis attire is required, including tennis shoes that do not mark the courts.
Players and spectators are expected to respect the facilities and equipment.
No one may store personal property or post advertising of any kind on the tennis courts or any tennis/club facilities, unless expressly authorized by the Tennis Club.
5. RESERVATION COURT SCHEDULING
General Reservations: Reservations can be made by logging in to the online reservations system or by calling the RHCA Office (310-544-6222) from 7:30 A.M.- 4:45 P.M. Monday-Thursday & 7:30 A.M. -12:00 P.M. on Fridays. Each resident will have the ability to make 5 future reservations with a maximum of 2 reservations per week. Reservations can be made up to 28 days in advance. Reservations will have a 15 minute arrival grace period before they are voided making the court available to any resident.
Cancellations: Members who are unable to use their reservations are asked to cancel and release the court as soon as possible. Cancellations can be made online or by calling the RHCA office (310-544-6222) during business hours.
6. GUESTS
People who do not live in or own property in Rolling Hills are considered GUESTS regardless of their family relationship. A resident family may invite 3 GUESTS to join them on their court for matches, lessons, or workouts. All Arriving Guests must sign in at the Main Gate before entering the Court.
7. TENNIS PROS/INSTRUCTORS
Lessons, Clinics, and Workouts given by Tennis Pros are permitted on the courts if the Pro is invited by a Resident(s) or the Tennis Club.
Before Tennis Pros may teach on the Rolling Hills Courts, they must register with the RHCA Office by providing proof of INSURANCE as required by the RHCA and by signing a letter of understanding affirming the Pro’s understanding and compliance of the Rules as given. Failure to comply with the Rolling Hills tennis rules and letter of understanding may result in a revocation of privilege to teach at our courts by the RHCA and/or the Tennis Club.
